French Grammar Lessons

Master those aspects of grammar that you have never really been able to get to grips with. Drawing on the popular grammar lessons published in our magazines these collections of lessons will enable you to "slay those dragons" of French grammar. Our grammar lessons are example driven so that you can learn in a more natural manner than by grappling with the rules of grammar. There are also exercises to help you reinforce your learning of your chosen topic.

There are 2 series of collected lessons:

Series 1 This series is for those who are at an early stage in the learning of French (broadly those who have been studying French part-time for 1 to 3 years. The lessons are in English.
Series 2 This series is for those of a good intermediate level. The lessons are predominantly in French (supported with keyword translations of the more difficult words and phrases).

Each individual purchase comprises a collection of lessons on an aspect of French grammar. They will be emailed to you as PDF (Adobe Acrobat) files within one working day.

Series 1

Tuez le Dragon 1 - Relative Pronouns

Familiarize yourself with relative pronouns (qui, que, dont, auquel, duquel, etc) which are invaluable in providing the links between the different parts of sentences

Series 2

Tuez le Dragon 2 - The Perfect Tense

Master once and for all those aspects of the agreement of the past participle that the perfect and pluperfect tenses require. The rules of agreement when using either avoir or être as the auxilliary verb are covered, as are those concerning reflexive verbs.

Tuez le Dragon 3 - The Perfect, Imperfect & Pluperfect Tenses

Know how to choose between the perfect and imperfect tenses, learn how to use the very useful pluperfect tense (which is much easier than is often thought), etc.
